Welcome to Optima Educational College Planning & Coaching!
I’m so glad you’re here—and I’m truly excited about the opportunity to work with your family. Helping students discover their unique strengths and find the right college fit is not just my job, it’s my passion.
I believe every student has something special to offer. My role is to guide them in recognizing and building on those strengths—academically, socially, and personally—so they can thrive in college and beyond. While an acceptance letter is exciting, the real goal is to find a place where your child will grow, feel supported, and succeed.
I intentionally work with a small number of students to ensure each one receives personalized, one-on-one guidance throughout the entire college planning process. I also prioritize clear, responsive communication with both students and parents, aiming to reduce stress and increase confidence every step of the way.
A Little About Me
I hold a Master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Spanish from Clemson University—Go Tigers! I spent my junior year studying abroad at the Spanish American Institute in Sevilla, Spain, an experience that shaped my love for learning and exploring the world.
I’m a professional member of HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association) and SACAC (Southern Association for College Admission Counseling), where I stay current on industry best practices and trends.
Outside the Office
When I’m not working with students, I enjoy playing golf, working out at the YMCA, traveling, and spending time with my family. I also volunteer at the Hope Community Church food pantry here in Raleigh, North Carolina.
My daughters are recent graduates of NC State University and Meredith College, and my son is currently a high school senior. I understand this journey from both a professional and parental perspective.
